Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions, Answered

Choosing a nursery comes with lots of questions. We've gathered some of the most common ones here — but if there's anything else you'd like to know, we're always happy to chat.

Getting Started

Yes — and we'd warmly encourage it. The best way to understand EPIC Education is to come and see us. You're welcome to arrange a visit or join one of our relaxed Stay & Play sessions to look around together with your little one.

Simply send us an enquiry through our contact page and choose 'Book a Visit'. Our team will be in touch to arrange a time that works for your family.

Our team will be happy to discuss the options available for your child's age and stage when you get in touch, rather than publish a specific age range before it's been confirmed.

Christian Ethos

Christian faith shapes how we care for children, how we relate to families and how we learn together. Bible stories, prayer, Christian values and an awareness of God's love are woven gently through everyday nursery life.

Not at all. EPIC Education welcomes families from every background. Our Christian ethos is something we live out in how we welcome and value every child — never a requirement placed on the families who join us.

Through age-appropriate Bible stories, prayer, songs, conversations about kindness and love, and the way our staff nurture and care for each child. Faith feels like part of who we are rather than an added lesson.

Learning and Development

Play is how young children naturally make sense of the world. Through play they explore relationships, test ideas and discover what they can do. We give children time, space and freedom to follow their curiosity, with caring adults close by to encourage them.

Through trusting relationships, gentle routines and the freedom to try things for themselves. When children feel safe and known, they grow in confidence — and we celebrate each brave, small step with them.

A rich mix of play, creativity, stories, songs, outdoor exploration and hands-on discovery — all shaped by our Christian values and our belief that every child is uniquely gifted and full of potential.

Sessions and Funding

Yes. EPIC Education offers funded early learning and childcare across 38 term-time weeks — up to 1,140 funded hours a year, or around 30 funded hours per term-time week, subject to eligibility and our funded arrangements. Our team will happily talk you through your options when you get in touch.

No. Our funded childcare is provided across 38 term-time weeks. If you need childcare outside term time, privately paid sessions are available — please contact our team to discuss your needs.

We offer Full-Day Nursery Sessions at £45, running from 9am to 5pm, along with wraparound care from 8am to 9am and 5pm to 6pm. Our team will be glad to discuss what's currently available and what might suit your family.

A Full-Day Nursery Session at EPIC Education is £45 and runs from 9am to 5pm. Wraparound care is also available from 8am and until 6pm — ask our team for availability and pricing. Funded early learning and childcare may also be available for eligible families across 38 term-time weeks.

Stay & Play is a relaxed opportunity for you and your little one to visit EPIC together — explore our spaces, meet our practitioners and experience a little of nursery life before making any decisions. There's no pressure and no commitment.

Working With Families

We see parents as a child's first and most important teachers, and we'd be honoured to work alongside you. We keep an open, friendly dialogue with families and welcome your involvement in nursery life.

We're always glad to listen. Whether you have questions, hopes or specific things you'd like us to know about your little one, our team will make time to talk with you. Please get in touch to start that conversation.

Still Have Questions?

No question is too small. We'd love to hear from you — come and visit, or send us a quick enquiry and we'll get back to you.
